Fish

Many species of fish can be found in lakes including salmon, catfish, trout, walleye, and perch. Some species, like lake char and lake sturgeon, are only found in lakes.

Other Animals

In addition to fish, many other animals can be found in lakes. These include amphibians, such as frogs, toads, and salamanders; reptiles, such as turtles and snakes; birds, such as ducks, geese, and herons; and mammals, such as beavers, otters, and muskrats.
